Shika Drommo was born in Cleveland, Ohio to gorgeous parents who are from Ghana in West Africa as the first of five children.
She enjoys using music to honor God. She began singing at the age of five and began writing her own songs when she was sixteen. Her pastors and elders at the Legon Interdenominational Church urged her to join the Praise and Worship team when she was 18 years old because they saw God’s calling on her life. There, she was trained and groomed to use her talent more effectively. She also had numerous chances to perform solos during religious services.
She felt a strong desire to lead people in worship and praise of God shortly after joining the team.
By the time she was 23, it was clear that she had been called to use music to advance the worship of the body of Christ and promote the Gospel. She has worked as a Praise and Worship leader in many churches over the past 20 years in congregations located in various cultural contexts and on the continents of Africa, Europe, and North America. Her involvement in church ministry has also included preaching, organizing prayer teams, overseeing the children’s ministry, and ushering.
Her constant goal is to continue crafting heavenly-level music that will draw God’s people closer to Him. Her dream is to create Drommo Music Inc., a renowned praise academy that will teach and educate aspiring worship leaders. The guiding principles of
