DOWNLOAD MUSIC: Sam Jamz – Play Myself

Play Myself, a chill, Afrobeat song is based on Sam Jamz’s convictions to not conform to the fleeting desires in the world but rather fix his gaze on Christ.

Produced by Paragon, Mixed and Mastered by Osadebey, Play Myself is a follow-up to Sam Jamz’ EP, GPS which was released at the tail end of 2020.

I will never play myself
I will never play myself
And so I put all my trust in Your Word
And I choose to live by the things that You say

Imagine me getting paid
For every single time that they told me
Not to mention Your name
They told me not to follow Your ways
Your Ways

Imagine me getting famous
Everybody’s screaming out my name
But it’s not You that’s getting the praise
No way, No way, No way!

There will never be anything
Compared to You
I will not deny
The things You do

What will it profit a man
To gain the world and lose his soul

I will never play myself
I will never play myself
And so I put all my trust in Your Word
And I choose to live by the things that You say

I will never play myself
I will never play myself
And so I put all my trust in Your Word
And I choose to live by the things that You say

Paid for me
You paid for me
My Jesus paid the highest price
That I could never pay

Paid for me
You paid for me
My Jesus paid the highest price
That I could have never paid

I’ve been so secure
Since I put my hopes in You
Everyday there’s something new
With You with You

Anything You want me to
Is the only thing I’m gonna do
I’ve been good
Since I gave You control

I will never play myself
I will never play myself
And so I put all my trust in Your Word
And I choose to live by the things that You say

I will never play myself
Me I will never play myself
And so I put all my trust in Your Word
And I choose to live by the things that You say

Paid for me
You paid for me
My Jesus paid the highest price
That I could never pay

Paid for me
You paid for me
My Jesus paid the highest price
That I could never pay
