Head of Communication at CharterHouse, George Quaye has responded to Gospel artiste Patience Nyarko over a statement she made discrediting the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), terming it as bogus and full of deception.
He told Mikki Osei Berko on the ‘After Hours’ show on TV3 that the gospel artiste devaluing the award scheme was her own opinion and that she should be considered by the organizers of the Mentor Reality show.
“It’s her opinion… I didn’t know Patience Nyarko was interested in participating in Mentor, may be TV3 should consider putting her on and I’m sure she would make a good contestant.” George Quaye told Mikki Osei Berko.
The Popular artiste who spoke on Power FM alleged that she was robbed of a conspicuous award at the recent edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
According to her, the popular television programme ‘Di Asa’ aired on Atinka TV is very credible than Charterhouse’s award scheme. She said in the past, she did not talk about her loss because he thought she was becoming better by the day and hoped her hit song, ‘Obi nnyane me’ would win an award.
Her popular song, ‘Obi nnyane me’ which was nominated to the best Gospel song of the year category shockingly lost the award to Joe Mettle’s ‘Boo noni’ at the 19th edition of the event. She also did not win the Gospel Artiste of the year award.

According to him, the Patapaa should consider building a strong fan base like other popular artistes.
