they told us BE YE HOLY, AS I THE LORD YOUR GOD IS HOLY! (First Peter 1:16)…
They didn’t tell us that…. “HOLY” In that scripture is an English word used to capture the VERY NATURE OF GOD! and that NO CREATED BEING IS HOLY! THAT’S WHY ANGELS SING HOLY HOLY HOLY ARE YOU LORD! … Its the very being that God is! now on the account of Jesus the new covenant we became HOLY!. so “BE HOLY” is not a command to walk right its actually a reminder that you’re holy… so read it like this..BE YOUR NATURE IN EVERY SITUATION!… BECAUSE ACTION FLOW FROM IDENTITY!… that’s the message Peter was passing across!!… (Paul understood this and this is how he addressed believers in Hebrew 3.. Holy brethren,)
YOU ARE HOLY! This is no longer a statement to describe God alone… but a statement that describe the NATURE OF GOD WHICH WE ARE!.. The conduct of holiness flows from the nature called HOLY!
