Rapper and ‘born again’ Kanye West recently visited Joel Osteen’s church and declared that Jesus has won the victory – The Lakewood Church hosts more than 50,000 attendees every week – During his visit, West had the congregation applauding as he declared that he is now ‘working for God’ Since rapper Kanye West became ‘born again’ and declared himself a God’s agent, he has been making several headlines. Some are surprised that West who once declared himself ‘Jesus’ is now releasing an album titled Jesus is King, and acknowledging it. However, more surprising are his series of worship sessions that have been described as powerful and moving. It appears through West, many are giving their lives to Christ and believing that indeed, Jesus is king. West approach to Christianity will make a good case study but his dedication and confidence led Joel Osteen to invite him to his 50,000 capacity church recently.

West who attended the service as an invited guest talked about his upbringing in the church, his latest gospel album Jesus Is King, and his decision to rededicate his life to God. During the program, he proclaimed that ‘Jesus has won the victory’. The rapper and father of four told the audience that the “only superstar is Jesus” but also asserted that God would now use his signature ‘cockiness’ and ‘arrogance’. Throughout his remarks, West regularly paused as the worshipers erupted in loud applause and cheers, Newsweek reports.

The rapper who just turned Christian devotee said that he would be presenting the opera come Sunday, November 24, at the Hollywood Bowl, Evening Standard reports. On his Twitter account, Kanye shared a sample of the golden ticket designed by Nick Knight and has an engraved image of the ancient Babylonian king, Nebuchadnezzar.
