According to the Oxfordshire County Council’s emergency school closure list, the Great Rollright Church of England Primary School was listed as partially open due to all of the pupils in years 3 to 6 currently self-isolating because of Covid-19. The pupils from years 3 to 6 will return to school in January 2021.
The year 5 bubble at St Leonard’s Church of England Primary School in Banbury is also listed as closed. The partial closure for year 5 at St Leonard’s school is from Monday December 14 through this Friday December 18.
The Warriner School is listed as only partially open due to a Covid-19 case. The following students will need to self isolate at The Warriner School, and have been informed: year 7 – 12 year 10 – 7 year 11 – 6. The students will return school after the Christmas break.
Year 3 was closed today (Wednesday December 16) and tomorrow (Thursday December 17) at Bloxham Primary School due to a case of Covid-19.
Harriers Banbury Academy currently has two classes isolating due to Covid-19. According to the county’s website, the year 4 parrots class will isolate until December 18 and the year 2 Doves class will isolate until December 21.
Pupils from Queensway Primary School have also been self-isolating due to Covid. The year 2 bubble and nine children in year 1 are isolating from the primary school as are part of the the ‘After School Club’ until Friday December 18.
Several Banbury area schools took the government’s recommendation and have chosen to dismiss pupils early later this week.
Aspirations Academies Trust issued a statement about the early dismissal of pupils at three Banbury Schools, which includes Dashwood Academy, Harriers Academy and Wykham Park Academy.
