Kirk Dewayne Franklin, born January 26, 1970 is an American gospel musician, singer, songwriter and author.
He is best known for leasing urban contemporary gospel choir such as God’s property. He has won numerous awards including sixteen Grammy awards amongst others. Recently, he has asked the people of God to pray for him and his family as he has been struggling with resentment for his father for abandoning him when he was a child and putting him up for adoption. When he recently got a call that his father was very I’ll and had 3-6 months to live. He knew he had to let go of his resentment. He had to give his father the gift of forgiveness. He cannot be preaching forgiveness and love and not do it.
He decided to fly to Houston to forgive his father. He said he had let go and he is a better place now. He just got a call that his father has passed on.
