CHRISTMAS carols are going online for the first time in over 50 years for Northallerton Methodist Church, whose members are determined to carry on tradition.
The “Sing Carols with us” would normally have 100 voices and instrumentalists with the Church Choir, Girls Brigade Choir and the Music Group Orchestra. The church is always packed to capacity and in the past the event has raised thousands of pounds for Action for Children. Organisers say it has always been “the event that gets Christmas going” so not to disappoint their many supporters, they are inviting people to sing along at home on Friday, December 18 at 7pm on the Northallerton Methodist Church YouTube Channel. The celebration will include pre-recorded carols and Girls Brigade songs, Father Christmas, and an opportunity to donate to Action for Children via www.justgiving.com/fundraising/northallertonmethodistchurch.
The church is calling on supporters to get their Christmas jumpers on and tune up to tune in.
